I've been farming my three hectares of orchard since 2013. My daily battle is to maintain biodiversity. I have fruit trees (apple, pear, plum, peach...) and around forty hives (beehives are for reproduction). There's an obvious complementarity between the two activities! The bees pollinate the fruit trees, and the trees provide the tools for the foragers. I look after my fruit trees according to the principles of organic, environmentally-friendly agriculture. I try to recreate the original environment of the trees by using the positive interactions between the various players in nature. My beekeeping is not certified AB. My bees forage up to 3 km away.
