Ceramic workshop - Catherine Allouin

Catherine Allouin likes stoneware, grog, engobes and high temperature firing which allows me to make animal models or totems for outdoor use. Indeed, at 1280-1300° the clay is vitrified and therefore non-porous and non-aging.
The stoneware is also robust, resistant to acids; therefore perfect for everyday objects...

Catherine works in several directions:
- animal modeling: all animals, with her favorite model being the cat, whose discretion and elegance she admires in all circumstances.
- Vases: from the most humble flowerpot to the unique piece.
- dishes or plates where graphic decorations blossom.

The workshop and the showroom (100m2) are located in the Ain, 20 minutes north of Bourg-en-Bresse on the D975, at the exit of Montrevel-en-Bresse in an old adobe farm.

Freeway exit :
- Bourg Nord on the A40 or
- St Amour on the A39
