Typical Bresse farm built in the late 16th century.
Come and discover the farm in its new setting, with a renewed tour route and events throughout the season. -
With its Saracen chimney, the Ferme de la Forêt is a fine example of traditional Bresse architecture, illustrated by its timber-frame and cob construction. Dated 1581 and classified as a Historic Monument in 1930, it features an admirable lattice gallery serving as a balcony on the upper floor.
Another special feature: the well is equipped with a double crank handle, a reminder that the farm was once divided between two sisters whose relationship was far from cordial!
