From Bresse to the Ain Valley

Route : (1) left. 700 m, further right in the boxwoods. Leave the "Tour du Revermont" on your left and turn right until you reach a large meadow.
(2) At the top of the meadow, turn right.
(3) Leave the Treffort path, cross the fence on the right, go down in the valley and join the path going up on the right.
(4) Go down to the left to Montmerle. Cross the D936 and go straight ahead. (5) Towards the chapel, straight ahead, go up on the ridge passing near the pylon, go down under the high voltage line and cross Thioles. Cross the D 42, pass near the menhir and following the fences, reach the ford of the Suran. (If the ford cannot be crossed, take the D 42 on the right to cross the Simandre bridge).
(6) At the exit of the ford, go straight on. At Banchin go up to the left, cut the road and go to Petit-Corent. Turn right towards the cross. In a hairpin, arrival on the right of the n° 80 coming from Racouse.
(7) Turn right, direction Racouse. Follow a grassy crossing and then a path in the forest which leads to a pasture.
On the left, then go down on the right towards Racouse.
(8) In Racouse, viewpoint on the Ain (200m on the left). Turn right then left at the wash house. Follow to Grand-Corent. In Grand-Corent, turn right (either at the first crossroads, or 100m further to pass near the wash house).
(9) 300m after the village on the road to Villereversure, turn right to Curfin. In the hamlet, turn right and cross the level crossing. At Les Feuilles, turn right, cross the D42 and continue into the Valuisant woods. Cross the road to the Col de La Rousse and go up the hill.
(10) On the crest, turn left then right and go down to Drom. Pass in front of the church. On the left, road of Conches, to leave immediately to go up on the left. 11) On the right to join the GR59 and follow it on the right until the Col de France. 12) Col de France: cross the road, turn left along the parking and take the path down to France. By the road, then by the path which goes along the Sevron, go back to Meillonnas.

- 15A : 15km - 4h : At the chapel of Montmerle (5) turn right and join the ridge above the Col de la Rousse 10)
- 15B : 16km - 4h30 : 17) to the right to join 10) by the n°24
- 15C : 24km - 6h : After the ford of Banchin (6) on the right, cross Petit-Simandre 20 and continue to 14) by n°21.
