A must-see: The menhir of "Pierre fiche" (historical monument): In Simandre-sur-Suran, along the ancient Roman road, the only menhir of the department is enthroned. It dates from 2500 BC (Bronze Age) and is 3.80 m high. La Chartreuse de Sélignac, founded in 1202 : On the road leading to Corveissiat, sits this imposing building. Before leaving for the crusades, the lord of Coligny donated the land of Sélignac to the Carthusian Order. Since 1211 and until 2001, monks lived in Sélignac. The three fords on the Suran (Middle Ages). The county dairy at Simandre-sur-Suran. The Suran river, a place for trout fishing.
