H2M - Contemporary art space

The space dedicated to contemporary art and visual arts of H2M ensures at the same time the diffusion of contemporary works within the framework of monographic or collective exhibitions, the implementation of residences, the organization of meetings with the artists as well as actions of conditioning which question the reception of the works, their setting in sharing and in culture near all the public.
H2M is a place to look, to listen, to discover differently, to cultivate and stimulate one's curiosity and to live a privileged moment of discovery.
The H2M contemporary art space is a true place of exchange and personal enrichment. It offers an educational and cultural program whose objective is to promote the encounter between contemporary art and the public.
Within the framework of the educational actions proposed to groups (schoolchildren, leisure centers, training and integration organizations, handicapped people), H2M proposes different types of visits in the company of a cultural mediator, aids to the visit in autonomy and workshops of stimulation of the glance. Through manipulations and plastic realizations, the group is invited to reflect on images and is made aware of the creative process of artists whose works can be discovered at H2M.
H2M is also a center for information, discovery and cultural practices.
The André Malruax courtyard is a place of life, diffusion and creation that stages numerous live performance events at the crossroads of image, music and stage.
H2M is also the headquarters of the cultural affairs department of the city of Bourg-en-Bresse, which manages the Chemins de la Culture program.
