The team's aim is to accompany each person, using the horse, towards a better understanding of themselves and the world around them.

What is equicie?
Equicie is the practice of equine mediation, designed to help people achieve their full potential. This accompaniment is led by an equicien, a professional in the helping relationship with the horse, and is intended for all people in situations of fragility or disability (whether motor, sensory, mental, social...) or multiple disabilities. The equine technician brings the person and the horse together, following the methodology of social action projects.

Why horses?
Horses enable authentic moments to be shared. Equine mediation differs from other forms of mediation in that the horse has its own states and its own history. It leads people to a better understanding of the world around them, and of their relationship with others.
A being of the moment
The horse is a unique being that lives the present moment intensely, and its natural anchorage can help a human being find his or her own. Equine behavior, breathing, scents and, above all, the rhythm of their steps lead humans to the present moment, helping them to become aware of their own bodies in space and time.
A mythical being
Horses have shared man's path for centuries. The collective imagination is filled with legends and stories linked to horses. From domestication to the present day, the horse is represented in the minds of men and women. They can be symbols of freedom and strength, and bring back memories of childhood and adulthood...
A carrier
In Europe, the horse is the only animal on which humans can rise off the ground and be carried. Riding a horse passively mobilizes an incredible number of the body's muscles, making it ideal for motor rehabilitation on horseback.
Difference makes us unique
Possessing their own mode of communication and social codes, horses do not judge the people they meet, nor do they categorize those who are different from them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Originally from the Ain region, land of horses, I grew up alongside these majestic beings. At the age of 6, after a trip to the Camargue, my parents gave me the opportunity to take riding lessons at a riding school. A few years later, I realized that the approach to horses and the teaching I was being offered didn't suit me. My parents gave me my first pony, Praline, at the age of 14. With her, I became what I call "an equestrian misfit". Self-taught, I climbed onto her back bareback and unharnessed, and we rode many miles together. Meeting and growing up with this mare gave rise to my professional project, and naturally led me to the Ecole Européenne d'Equiciens in Lorraine. At the end of my baccalauréat in economics and social studies, choosing the initial training to become an equine technician was an obvious choice, as it is perfectly aligned with my vocation: making the link between Man and Horse.
