Les Somnambules

It's the story of an old, winding, festive neighborhood slated for demolition, giving way to a new city of reinforced concrete, wide avenues and polished traffic circles. But even the most finely tuned rhythms can't withstand the music of the unexpected. At nightfall, the dreams of the inhabitants cross paths and populate the city, breathing into it the soul it lacks. The finesse of the puppets and the tender jazz of the live musicians celebrate the imagination of the inhabitants, evoking the irony and poetry of contemporary urban transformations, transforming the city into a place of all possibilities.
In this theater of shadows and objects, the heroine is a spectacular architectural model. From lighting effects to movements, from surprises to enchantments, she comes to life like a giant Meccano, telling us more about the soul of a city than a movie ever could.
