The library is used by around 90 families in the commune, representing 271 readers aged 2 to 90 (including our schoolchildren).
The service is run by a team of volunteers, supported by a salaried employee who works 4 hours a week. -
The municipal library of Buellas is a public service created in 1984 by Mrs. Danielle Grimand, city councilor.
Its premises being close to the nursery and elementary school, all the children from the nursery school come regularly with their teachers to borrow a book.
All the inhabitants of the commune have free access to the library, possibility of consultation on the spot, and loan of documents.

About 4000 documents are available to users.
All genres are represented: novels, detective stories, history, science, nature, sports, children's literature and "fantasy" literature. Encyclopedias are also available.
The library is a relay of the Direction de la Lecture Publique.
This last one allows us a deposit of approximately 1000 books renewed twice a year
The music collection has been removed, but it is still possible to reserve CDs from the D.L.P.
