an inspirational historic site
A Merovingian archaeological hotspot
Thanks to the archaeological dig that began in 2016, the secrets of this hill are being revealed. It is the place to be for inquisitive adventurers! After a sporty 30-minute walk in the shade of the dark green forest, the peak is free of vegetation and instead reveals the secrets of the Merovingian era, as well as a superb view.
A mysterious place standing at an altitude of 600 m
Every archaeologist will tell you that this is an exceptional place. At an altitude of 600 metres, ruins of an ancient fortified site can be seen on the surface: two 6th and 7th century churches that have been relatively well preserved. The many tombs found within one of these ruins tell the story of a funerary church. The rest of this archaeological site reveals a memorial building and a residential space.
